This is the RECAP Store policy effective 2019. Last revised April 3, 2021.
IMPORTANT: before placing your order, you MUST READ and MUST AGREE with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not understand or do not agree with them, do not place an order, instead, contact us before placing your order.
To purchase RECAP, you must agree with the Terms & Conditions here presented:
1. The Product
- Appearance: RECAP is a handmade product. Its enclosure is manufactured using a consumer-grade FDM 3D printer. Each unit is manually assembled. There may be some slack between the enclosure and audio jacks. Due to this manufacturing process, the unit’s surface may have irregular finish, coloration, texture, shine, and dimensions. Make sure you’re comfortable with that before getting RECAP. If appearance is important for you, DO NOT place an order.
- Compatibility: RECAP is a universal device. RECAP C output is a COMBO port, and RECAP S2 output is a STEREO MICROPHONE port. Be sure you understand which port your device has and the drawbacks of each.
- Operation: There are no settings to RECAP; however, like any analog audio recording setup, you will most likely have to perform adjustments in your RECORDING device. Without these adjustments, recording WILL NOT WORK. The adjustment list can be found in RECAP documentation (user manual, knowledge base, and contact support).
2. Order & Shipping
- We ship orders within five business days of you placing an order. Check the order status here.
- Choosing Priority or Express shipping will NOT affect the ship date.
- During Holidays and vacations, our home page will contain notice of longer lead times.
Very Important: First-Class vs Priority Mail (USA):
- First-Class Mail is tracked but NOT INSURED. RECAP’s responsibility ends when we drop your order off at a USPS collection box and provide you with a tracking number. In the rare scenario where your package is lost in transit, we will not provide you with a refund, and it’s your responsibility to contact USPS to locate your item.
- Priority Mail shipping method IS INSURED. RECAP’s responsibility ends when the USPS marks your package as DELIVERED. In the rare scenario where your package is lost in transit, you will need to contact USPS to file a claim.
If you do not understand the differences between First-Class and Priority Mail, please get in touch with us before placing your order.
- Items shipping internationally (outside the USA) may be subject to customs processing. Buyers may be subject to additional charges for customs clearance. International shipping is via USPS First Class International mail. Please select the Priority Express Mail shipping method for door-to-door tracking and insurance.
3. Support & Contact

- Response time: Expect our response within five business days; If we don’t respond in 7 business days, please follow up.
- Technical Support: free product support via forum only. One-on-one support requires paid support.
4. Return, Refund, Exchange and Warranty Policy
We’re committed to customer satisfaction
- If you’re not 100% satisfied with RECAP, you may return it for a refund within 14 days of receiving the product.
- Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. The customer pays for return shipping. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured method because if we do not receive the product back, we cannot issue the refund.
- There’s a restocking fee of up to 25% of the product value. A fee is not charged when we ship the wrong item and is refunded if the returned product is found to be functionally defective during our returns processing. Allow 6-8 weeks for returns processing.

5. Other Points
- You are responsible for checking the laws in your jurisdiction about recording audio, calls, and copyrighted material. We are not responsible for you using RECAP in a way that is not legal.
- You agree not to disassemble or reverse engineer RECAP.
